My artwork over the years has comprised of many differing genres, which is probably why none of them are extraordinary, (the old saying "jack of all trades, master of none" is probably true in my case), but I am happy with my achievements so far, and this is my latest "craze" - weaponsmithing.

This piece is a sword I made in February / March of 2004, and is currently for sale.

Just a side note for those who have missed it ... the funny looking back of the blade is a dragon lying along the top.

Price : $1350.00 AU

That is worth the money you're offering! Unfortunately, it would break my bank account...

For the first sight I though that those small scratches are "simply" a nonfigurative decoration on the blade. For the second, i realized that "heeey, THAT is a dragon. How the hell he managed?!" :D So... I suppose you did surprise me:D
I hope you can find someone who can afford buying this sword.=)

I wanted the dragon to be quite subtle, but I think sometimes it's too subtle because a lot of people don't see the dragon. I'm glad it kind of snuck up on you though, and made itself seen ...

This looks AWESOME, but it seems like the balance would be a little off, with the blade being heavier than the handle, and the center of gravity being a little off. Even then, I like how the blade is modeled after a dragon rather than just having a design on it or something.

I wanted to do a sword with a dragon on it, so that's what I did. I made a swoed with a dragon literally on it! The balance point is actually exactly where the bronze stops, where it meets the blade, so it's perfect. It does look blade heavy, but there are deep fullers down at the point that reduce a lot of weight and bring the balance back towards the grip. The pommel is also quite large and adds a lot to the overall balance as well.

Smart. I never understood how people figure out the balance thing and all that so well, but it's still smart thinking. And the dragon isn't on it either. It IS the dragon! XD

Balance is vital for any weapon, but particulaly a sword, and each person likes a different balance. This sword is balanced perfectly for me, but most people who handle it like it too. The dragon was just a bonus ...

those dots make me skeptical about whether or not that's true. I'm thinking the dragon was your real excuse for making it, and the balance was just to make it work. And to make you look smart. XD

LOL ... Ah, you see the truth of it. Actually, the dragon was the motivation for the design, and getting the balance was the final necessity ...

Those dots are again making me skeptical. Are you screwing with me again? And yes, I knew I caught it, even if I was half joking. XD I am good at catching things like that, thanks to how genre savvy I am when it comes to certain things. And my knowledge of why people do certain things, however small that knowledge may be.
