PURSUASION by BLOODSTORME PURSUASION by BLOODSTORME
Persuasion is a small sword just made for fighting. The curved main blade is weight reduced for speed and there are two small blades, (one under the grip and one behind the pommel), for close up combat, when the main blade becomes ineffective.

I designed this sword after seeing the first Lord of the Rings movie. I was inspired by the elven blades and wanted to do something "curvey", and Pursuasion was the result of that.

Here's a [link] to a picture by ~Draikou that features this sword.

Here's another [link] to a digital rendition of this sword.

For those interested. This sword is for sale for $650 Australian.

PURSUASION by ~BLOODSTORME The gentle curves of this blade make for a sinister weapon. Very well crafted, beautiful art sword. ( Suggested by soundinnovation and Featured by ohnojaylo )

That is one gorgeous blade...Out of curiosity, how many of them have you made so far? And/or do you know of any winning lottery numbers I could use to justify spending the amount that blade is worth? ;)

LOL ... I cannot give you the winning lottery numbers I'm afraid, but I am going to predict that you will just sigh and hang your head when you realize you won't be able to afford it.

To date I've only made two of them, so they are rare.

So few people work in real media these days. Damn! Where is the catalog and what is the price tag? The tag line I use for such items is "Made to Play".

LOL. "Made to Play" is certainly true, though not many people play anymore because, as you observed, there isn't much reality anymore. The price tag for Persuasion is $650.00 AU plus postage, and as for a catalogue, I guess it's my DA gallery.

I have to say, this sword is beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. If I ever were plucked into a fantasy world as I am, I'd want this blade to wield. I swear it's made for someone as skinny and as short as me. It's short, lightweight, yet lethal. I'd just need a scabbard that covered the grip. Knowing me, I'd probably cut myself on the grip.

But, this is the real world and there's no way in heck I can own that beautiful piece of art. I would either kill myself or my precious dog (and I'm not doing that. I love her a wee too much. Just a bit.) So, I think this puppy is being printed out, glued into my journal for preservation of things I love but can't have because my clothes obsession definitely gets in the way of saving up for a sword. Ha ha ha. (Besides, it would be really hard to wield a sword in a really full skirted dress, complete with petticoat, I think.)

I love this! Funny thing is, I think there actually is a sword called Persuasion in a game I play. Anyway, do you take requests? Because I have designed weapons of my own, and I have two knife designs that I made for a friend of mine, one called Lethe for a character he made called Memory, and another that looks like a feather and was made for a native american type guy he came up with. Supposedly, the feather in the guys headdress/headband/whatever actually turns into this knife when he wilds it, so I came up with a knife design that looks like a feather but would still be useful in combat.

What sucks is that I don't have the money right now. I just turned 18 and have yet to find a job, so the only money I currently have is from graduation gifts and leaves me four bucks away from earning a laptop I really want. Hopefully I can get the money to pay you someday though! I always wanted to see my ideas come to life!

I will have to redraw my designs because me sketchbook got stolen a few months ago, and I believe my friend has the feather knife design so I'd have to get it from him sometime. I do have one sword design that wasn't mine, but was a drawing I requested from a friend. I had asked him to make me a cursed version of the Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda using a hilt design I came up with and with runes of some sort on the blade, and what he gave me the next time I saw him was absolutely amazing, despite not being exactly what I was looking for (I had hoped for a more cursed look, like black with red cracks and whatnot, but it works). I do plan to scan that to my computer sometime, so I'll let you know when I do if you want to see it. And I am sure I will enjoy my laptop. That's the whole reason I want it. XD
